The 95th annual Washington Parish Free Fair was held October 14-18, 2008. This year’s theme was "Down Home Celebration." The Homemakers Building displayed entries for a variety of items including quilts, ceramics, baked goods, clothing, recycled items and canned goods. Many of the residents of the parish work year-round alongside the homemakers clubs to prepare items for entry.

This year we had a wonderful variety of goods.

A special thanks to the homemakers clubs, as well as Darlene Jones, retired FCS agent, and Mary Evelyn McDaniel, president of the Homemaker Council, for their time and effort to make the Homemakers Building a true gem.
