Monday, November 23, 2009. Mark the date of the annual 4-H Food Festival, which will be held at the Leesville Junior High Cafeteria. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m.

Several Vernon Parish 4-H members competed at the State Horse Show July 6-10, 2009, at the Ike Hamilton Arena in Monroe. They participated in Performance, Speed, Halter and Presentation events.

Miss Shelby Blais of Simpson Elementary 4-H was recently named the People’s Choice Award winner of the Elementary Division of the Miss Vernon 4-H Pageant.

More than 500 youth from across Vernon Parish recently participated in the annual 4-H Judging Day event held at the fairgrounds in Leesville on Nov. 20, 2008.

4-H Petroleum Power Day was held November 25, 2008, at the Rodeo Arena in Leesville.

Vernon Parish Elementary Demonstration Day will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009. The Jr. & Sr. Demonstration Day will be held Thursday, February 26, 2009. Demonstration Days will be held at the Lions Children Camp. Rules and Regulations are enclosed.
