The goal of the 4-H Shooting Sports Program is youth development. Through participation in firearm safety training and shooting sports activities, young men and women are given the opportunity to learn responsibility, sportsmanship, self-discipline and other qualities critical to the development of productive citizens.

The Florida Parishes 4-H Outdoor Skills program site includes four areas: Shooting Sports, Fishing Sports, ATV Safety and Wetlands education. Besides the four main areas it will have a current schedule of events, field day info and handbooks, along with brochures and a PowerPoint about the program. In addition, it contains the necessary forms, flyers, contest information and more.
