The 2008 St. Tammany Parish 4-H Achievement Day was an essential and inspirational day for the youth of St. Tammany Parish. It was a day filled with competition and friendship as 4-H members displayed their courage, courtesy and cooperation as they identified, demonstrated and judged. 4-H Achievement Day was held at Magnolia Park in Folsom on April 30, 2008 hosted by 4-H Agents Amy Long-Pierre and Bobby King with the LSU Agricultural Center.

Kayla Williams, Pine View Middle School 4-H Club Vice President, led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance and Carley Eshleman, Folsom Elementary School 4-H President, conducted the 4-H Pledge. Once all of the competitions were completed, several 4-H Clubs participated in the Song and Yell Contest which was won by Lee Road Junior High. Individual Achievement Day Contest Winners were announced and were awarded with various medals for their accomplishments.

4-H Club Leaders and Parent Volunteers were also recognized for their outstanding and dedicated service to 4-H and the St. Tammany Parish Community. With a cheer from over 400 4-Her's in attendance the 2008 St. Tammany Parish 4-H Achievement Day was adjourned until next year.
