Lab Testing, Insect, Plant Disease and Weed Identification

LSU AgCenter offers diagnostic tests for farmers and home gardeners on a variety of samples, including soil, plant tissue and water samples. The AgCenter will also identify insects, plant diseases and weeds and offer ways to control them.

See Instructions Pages on how to collect samples. Collected samples can be brought in to your local LSU AgCenter office.

If you wish to mail samples of soil, potting mixes, water or plant tissue yourself, collect the samples as per the instructions, print and complete the appropriate request form, and then mail the form, sample and your check (see form for fees) to the address listed on the form.
