St. Mary 4-H'ers go to 2007 4-H Camp

St. Mary participants in the 2007 4-H Summer Camp, held at Camp Grant Walker in Pollock, LA
Fifty St. Mary Parish 4-H'ers returned from a five day, four night stay at Camp Grant Walker in Pollock, Louisiana on Friday, August 3. This year's camp slogan was "Live it now, remember it forever!" While at camp, 4-H'ers participated in:
  • Dramatic Arts - Let's Put on a Show.
  • Outdoor Adventures.
  • Nature...A Walk on the Wild Side.
  • Safety Superheroes.
  • C.H.E.F. - Camping Healthy Equals Fun.
They also enjoyed swimming, canoeing, volleyball, ping-pong, arts and carfts and dancing. Swimming and hunter safety classes were also offered.

4-H'ers attending camp this year were: Emily Chauvin, Alexis Vaughn, Trevor Vaughn, Taylor Blanco, Kimberly Boudreaux, Kaitlyn Percle, Jamie Scioneaux, Ashley Champagne, Emily Champagne, Margaret Rodriguez, Nikki James, Taris Gregory, Kameron Clements, Cai Menard, Jade Theriot, Kaylan Mitchell, Taylor Hebert, Gabriella Darden, Matthew Comeaux, Shelby Bergeron, Katherine Comeaux, Allison Junca, Sarah Stirling, Jenah Richard, Joshua Miller, Carley Fitzgerald, Stasha Humphrey, Caitlin Petitfils, Michael Bourgoyne, Peyton Landry, Bryce Ronsonet, Dustin Rogers, Sarah Luke, Ashlie Corbett, Ciara Norris, Meghan Menchaca, Traci Glyn, Mark Davis, Calli Blanco, Cody Junca, Blake Wain and Bronson Wagner.

In addition to 4-H Agent Jennifer Johnson, and volunteers Michelle Chauvin and Kirk Champagne served as adult leaders for the trip.

Serving as Junior Camp Counselors were 4-H Junior Leaders Emily Brumfield, Patrick Hebert, Kristen Comeaux, Jamie Minor, Ashley Punch, Andrew Chauvin, and Jayde Noel.
