St. Martin Parish held its 2009 Broiler Show on Saturday, January 31, 2009.
Four-H’ers raised their broiler chicks from one day of age and Twenty-two exhibitors showed their top three birds as a pen at three weeks of age. The birds were judged on conformation, fleshing, uniformity and finish. The champion pen weighed in at 8 ¼ pounds, and the reserve champion pen was 7 ½ pounds.
