March 2010 issue of the 4-H Chatterbox includes: Monthly calendar, record books, woodworking workshop, horse shows, 4-H pennies, Junior Leader meeting, bike-a-thon, sew/shoot/soar workshop, 4-H camp and achievement day.

Hey Kids! Come join us for 4-H Camp from July 26th - July 30th. The camp is open to 4th - 6th graders from ages 9-12.

In this issue, you will find the following information: dates to remember, geaux green, MDA, four wheel fundraiser, achievement day fundraiser and "Meet a Jr. Leader."

The St. Landry Parish Extension Office provides educational information and programs in 4-H Youth Development, Agriculture & Natural Resources and Family & Consumer Sciences. Services are offered to a diverse group which includes youth, elderly, parents, gardeners, farmers, home makers and community organizations.

This issue of the newsletter will contain: Calendar, Record Books, Woodworking Workshops, Pennies, Scholarships, Horse Show, Jr. Leader Meeting, Here's the Beef, 4-H Camp, National 4-H Conference and Achievement Day.

This issue of the Junior Leader Chatter will include the following information: Dates to Remember, January Club Meeting, Jr. Leader Conference, 4-H Scholarships, Recycling, Solid Waste Board Meeting, Four Wheeler Raffle and Meet a Jr. Leader Officer.

Volunteer 4-H Leaders are invited to participate in this annual conference to meet and greet leaders from throughout the state and to enjoy informative, educational workshops along with other fun activities.

The 2009 LSU AgCenter St. Landry Master Horseman Program concluded on November 24th. The Master Horseman Program is designed to improve the overall knowledge and skills of horse people so they can serve as 4-H leaders.

The 4-H Food Festival was held December 12, 2009 at St. Ignatius School in Grand Coteau. Contests included Sugar Cookery, Ground Beef Cookery, Seafood Cookery, Rice Cookery and Consumer Foods Judging.

Attention 7th - 8th Grade 4-H'ers. Enjoy a weekend of fun and adventure at 4-H Challenge Camp at Camp Grant Walker. The camp is designed to create team spirit and build self-reliance skills.
