School is back and now you are preparing yourself for the typical school time routine. Schools provide breakfast, lunch and snack during school hours, but what are the students to do after they are dismissed? The first thing they do is look for something to eat!
Eating a small, healthy, high energy snack after a long day of school can rejuvenate your child for after school activities and studying, according to Ashley Weston, LSU AgCenter Summer Intern.
After school, a child could be tired from school work, activities, a poor diet and possibly dehydration. Some symptoms of dehydration are nausea, difficulty concentrating and fatigue. Some tips to relieve these symptoms are drinking regular or sports water, juice, and eating a snack. Snacking can be easy, fun and nutritious.
