The Forty-eighth Annual Rapides Parish Fair will be held in Alexandria, Louisiana, October 8-12, 2008 inclusive on the Coliseum and Fairground site on the Leesville Highway. Entry of Arts and Crafts will take place on October 7, 2008 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. thru 6:00 p.m. at the Coliseum Exhibition Hall.
The Mighty Thomas Carnival will appear at the Rapides Parish Fair in Alexandria. The traveling show will provide thrilling rides, fun games and tasty carnival treats. The fun starts at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, and runs through Sunday, October 12, on the Coliseum Grounds on Hwy 28 West at the Rapides Parish Coliseum.
Founded in 1928 in Lennox, South Dakota, the carnival is now based in Austin, Texas, and is providing its 79th season of fun and excitement for fair-goers across the United States.
