| Fresh or frozen, strawberries are low in calories and an excellent source of Vitamin C. |
- 1 ½ cup fresh strawberries or half of a 16 oz package frozen,
- unsweetened whole strawberries, thawed
- 2 (8 oz) pkg. lite or fat free cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar or sugar substitute to equal ½ cup sugar
- 3 cups whipped topping
- 1 small purchased angel food cake
- 2 -3 cups sliced strawberries
- 2 Tablespoons sugar or sugar substitute
- Whipped topping, optional
In a blender or food processor, combine strawberries, cream cheese and powdered sugar. Blend until smooth.
Pour mixture into a mixing bowl and blend in whipped topping. Set aside.
Tear cake into bite size pieces. In a trifle bowl, place ½ of the cake and top with ½ of the mouse mixture. Repeat layer. Top with strawberries. If desired top with whipped topping.
