Master Nutrition Volunteer Training Certification Program

Rapides Parish Extension is proud to recognize the very first group of Master Nutrition Volunteers for the Central Region.  The reception was held on Jan. 12, 2011, in the Rapides Parish Extension Office. Thirteen participants completed the training course in fall 2010.  In addition to 30 hours of classroom instruction, the trainees contributed a minimum of 12 volunteer hours to complete the certification course. They are now prepared to  teach basic  nutrition and food safety programs in the community.
