Quincy Cheek, the new Extension Agent in nutrition, will be featured on the "Jambalaya" television program on News Channel 5 in Alexandria, La. each month.
Child Care Provider Classes
Classes for child-care providers and child-care centers are posted quarterly. For Class A and in-home caregivers, the price is $7.50; for Class B providers, the price is $42.50. The orientation class is mandatory for in-home caregivers, and the price is $10 for that 4-hour class.

“Rapides 4-H’ers have the opportunity to be recognized for their volunteer service in the community. During this centennial celebration, we are looking to recognize 100 4-H’ers for 100 hours of volunteer work each with a new award called, 4-H “Spirit of the Clover” Award. To be considered for this award you must apply following the guidelines. For the guidelines and the award application, click on the link”
Community Service Achievement Award
This form is to be filled out and submitted by clubs who wish to be recognized for Outstanding Club Community Service Achievement. This award application should be placed in an appropriate folder or cover and should be submitted by April 30th to the parish 4-H office. For more information, contact the 4-H office at 767-3968.
