On October 10, 2009, Pointe Coupee 4-H'ers competed in the Poultry and Ground Beef Cookery. More than 25 dishes were entered in six different poultry and ground beef divisions.

On October 14, 2009 over 100 4-H'ers from around Pointe Coupee Parish brought their favorite pets to the annual pet show. From dogs and cats to birds and reptiles, the Multi Use Center in New Roads was filled with animals and animal lovers.
