On October 27 over 80 newly elected 4-H Officers from around the Pointe Coupee parish attended the 2009 Officer Training at Catholic Elementary School. The 4-H'ers were trained in their offices, participated in a mock meeting and had the opportunity to listen to a local elected official, Representative Major Thibaut.

The 4-H Sew With Cotton Contest & Fashion Show will be held Thursday, March 4, 2010. Any 4-H member interested in sewing may participate in the 4-H Sew With Cotton Contest.

On October 10, 2009, Pointe Coupee 4-H'ers competed in the Poultry and Ground Beef Cookery. More than 25 dishes were entered in six different poultry and ground beef divisions.

On October 14, 2009 over 100 4-H'ers from around Pointe Coupee Parish brought their favorite pets to the annual pet show. From dogs and cats to birds and reptiles, the Multi Use Center in New Roads was filled with animals and animal lovers.

Happy Thanksgiving!! It's time to break out your seafood and egg recipes. The 2009 4-H Seafood and Egg Cookery will be held on November 24 at the Cottonport Bank Community Center in New Roads.
