Surrounded by boat motors, fishing lures and hunting clothing, Natchitoches Parish 4-H took part in the annual Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Telethon on Sept. 1, 2008, which was held at the Bass Pro Shop in Bossier City. LSU AgCenter 4-H agent Laura M. Brumbaugh of Natchitoches Parish was accompanied by three 4-H members to present their donation on air to KTAL anchorwoman Shelli Briery. Brumbaugh, along with parish 4-H members Lacy Conlay, Zachary Page and Joshua Page, presented a check for $2,142 to the MDA. The money was collected by seven Natchitoches Parish 4-H Clubs when they sold shamrocks during the past year. Those clubs were East Natchitoches, NSU Elementary Lab, Marthaville, Goldonna, Fairview Alpha, St. Mary’s and Cloutierville.
