The 2009 Natchitoches Parish Awards Banquet was held May 16, 2009, at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center's Listache Conference facility.  Gwen Fontenot, parish chair and interim 4-H agent, coordinated the banquet  for youth and their parents.  Cady White, a nine-year active 4-H member, received a $1,200 Scott Truck and Tractor Scholarship.  Cady has won numerous local, district and state awards for her swine livestock project.  She is a graduate of Natchitoches Central High School and will be attending Northwestern State University in the fall.  Missy Hennigan, a nine-year active member of Christian Scholars Home School Club, was awarded a $300 Scott Truck and Tractor Scholarship for participation in various projects including photography, foods and nutrition and junior leadership.  Missy plans on enrolling in Northwestern State University.

ndard of Excellence recipents were recognized.  Those being honored were Tyler and Taylor Roberts, club members at St. Mary's, and Rena Yount, member at Fairview Alpha.  The Key Club award went to Adriana Wohletz, a junior at Lakeview High School.

Forty-four youth recieved the 2009 Natchitoches Parish Standard of Excellence Award for outstanding involvement.  Youth had to participate in a minimum of seven parish 4-H activities and three community service projects for the school year.  Activities ranged from camps and contests to elected officer positions and attendance at state-sponsored events.  The award recipients were:
