The Madison Parish 4-H "Healthy Connections" newsletter provides information to 4-H Club members and their families. Healthy Living, one of three 4-H mission mandates for positive youth development, focuses on encouraging youth to learn, adopt and practice healthful decision-making. Healthy Living 4-H projects include: Foods and nutrition; fitness, health and safety; child development; consumer and financial management; and personal development.

Citizenship, one of three 4-H Mission Mandates for postive youth development, includes Character Development, Citizenship, Leadership, Service-Learning, Communications and Theatre Arts projects. Louisiana 4-H is one of the nation's leaders in character education with all 64 parishes conducting character development programs. As if the Louisiana State Fair and all of its attractions aren’t enough to cause excitement, twenty-six Madison 4-H members and volunteers enjoyed the added bonus of participating in the first annual AgMagic at the fair.

Madison 4-Her's participated in Homecoming events at the LSU Tiger Stadium.
