Dear Child Care Provider,

The LSU AgCenter is undergoing a restructuring of programs. Due to a series of budget cuts, agents have been re-assigned to key programs. I will teach one Child Care Provider training session on Saturday, October 22, 2011, in LaSalle Parish at the Extension Meeting Room of the LaSalle Parish Courthouse in Jena, La. The class will be Nutrition for Kids and will be taught from 9 a.m. until noon.

This will be the last Child Care Provider Training class I will be teaching. My program responsibilities are now 4-H Club programs and nutrition. If you have any credit vouchers for past classes, this will be your last opportunity to use them.

I have enjoyed my years of teaching all of you and always feel that your comments help make the classes even better. Many of you have been supportive of my efforts in the past and I do appreciate you.

There are some excellent child care resources available through the eXtension program. There are numerous links on this site. I recommend you check out the Hands-On Activities for Child Care with over 200 fun activities. This is also an excellent site for those of you working on your CDA.
