2009 4-H Activities Day
Fifty LaSalle Parish 4-H'ers submitted record books qualifing them to attend the parish 4-H Activities Day on May 1, 2009.
They enjoyed the day at the Jena Town Park. The 4-H'ers were active in a lot of hands-on activities while rotating through five different educational stations. After the activities, there was an awards program and a hotdog lunch. | | Fire Department -- Rescue Unit: 4-H'ers learned to use the jaws-of-life equipment. |
| | Soil and Water Conservation -- A-maz-ing: 4-H'ers taking active part in the maze. |
| | Kelly Hudspeth -- Veterinarian/Pet Care: 4-H'ers learned valuable information about their pets. |
| | Kim Randall -- Wildlife Species: 4-H'ers were able to hold and feel items at this station while learning information about endangered species (check out the zebra skin covering table). |
| | Sherriffs Department -- Drug Abuse: A presentation was given, and 4-H'ers were shown different kinds of drug paraphernalia. |
