2008 Sugar and Seafood Contest Day Activities
The Lafourche Parish 4-H Sugar and Seafood Contest is our most popular 4-H food preparation contest. Members prepare dishes using two of our main products -- sugar and seafood. They recognize not only the nutritional benefits but the economic importance of sugar and seafood. This year's contest will be held at Galliano Elementary November 1 with registration beginning at 9 a.m. and the contest starting at 10 a.m. |

4-H Poultry Day Contest
This year's Lafourche Poultry Day Contest will be held December 6, 2008, at the Agriculture Building in Raceland beginning at 9 a.m. Contests will include: Poultry and Egg Cookery, Live Broiler, Chicken Queing, Dairy Cattle Judging, Livestock Judging, Poultry Judging, Exhibition Poultry, Dog Show and Pet Show. |
