The Office of Motor Vehicles has released the 4-H license plate approved in 2002. The fee for the 4-H plate is $50.00 every two years ($25 per year) in addition to regular registration fees. Of the additional $25 fee, $15 will go to the Louisiana 4-H Foundation and $10 to the 4-H foundation in the parish where the plate was sold.
The following guidelines and procedures should be followed when applying for the new 4-H license plate:

Submit a photocopy of your vehicle registration certificate, proof of insurance, and a brief note stating that you are applying for the 4-H license plate and the number you are requesting (if available).

Fees: Contact the SPECIAL & DEALER PLATE UNIT of the Office of Motor Vehicles at
225-925-6371 or 1-877-368-5463 with your current license plate number, and they will calculate your fees. Or visit the following Web site at
http://www.expresslane.org/ for a Special Plate calculation.
Please note: credit will be given on the unused portion of the current plate. Automobiles, trucks, and motor homes are issued two-year validation stickers.
