Belle Chasse Primary School in Plaquemines Parish was the host site for the 2011 4-H Officer/Leader Training held on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Jefferson Parish 4-H club officers and leaders joined participants from Orleans, St. Bernard, St. Charles, and Plaquemines parishes. Club officers received special training in their specific officer responsibilities followed by special workshops in four different areas.

Six Jefferson Parish 4-H members and eight volunteer leaders visited the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge, La., on June 1, 2011, for 4-H Day at the Capitol.

Twenty-five Jefferson Parish 4-H members joined members from Orleans, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, Bossier, West Baton Rouge, and St. Mary parishes for an exciting week of good times and good friends. The week-long camp was held at the Grant Walker Educational Center in Pollock, La.

Nine Jefferson Parish teens participated in the annual State 4-H University held in late June on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, La.
