Jefferson Parish 4-H Members Celebrate 100 Years with the New Orleans Hornets

72 Jefferson Parish 4-H members, faculty, and friends joined more than 2,300 4-H members who participated in the 6th annual 4-H day with the New Orleans Hornets. The game took place on February 22, 2008. The Hornets played against the Houston Rockets. This year, the activities focused on the 4-H centennial celebration. The following are some of the special activities Jefferson’s 4-H’ers participated in:

Court of Dreams- 48 4-H members, divided into 4 teams from Plaquemines, Orleans, Jefferson and St. Bernard parishes got to play basketball on the Hornets’ court from 2-4 p.m.

Grace King High School 4-H member Adil Yousuf had fun as the Hornets Ball Boy. He also represented Jefferson Parish on the court at the halftime presentation.
