Let the decorating begin!
The annual Iberville Parish 4-H School Decorating Contest is scheduled to be judged on Oct. 5, 2011. Our theme is "Iberville 4-H, Focus on Fitness!" Your school has a chance to win a cash award of $30 for your local program if it is selected as one of our three winning schools.
Schools that will be participating in this contest should call the Iberville Parish 4-H Office by Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, to register. All exhibits should be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, for judging which will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5

Get your pencil and paper ready, put on your thinking cap and submit your creative 4-H summer camp theme slogan for a chance to win $50. A drawing reflecting your theme must accompany your slogan. All entries should be received in the 4-H office by Oct. 21, 2011.
Please include your name, age, parish, mailing address and phone number along with your submission. All slogans should be limited to seven words or less. Please call the 4-H office at 225-687-5155 for more information.

Attention all 4-H'ers! Get your blenders, mixing bowls, rolling pins and spoons ready. It's time for our annual Sweet Shoppe Cookie & Candy Contest! All entries must be turned in at the 4-H office on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, by 4:30 p.m. Include a copy of your recipe with each entry.
Judging will based on taste, texture and appearance. Submit at least four pieces of cookies or candy with each entry. Place each entry in a disposable container or plastic storage bag. Include your name, grade and school with each entry.
You may submit one entry in each category. Candy Division categories include: fudge, divinity and pralines. Cookie Division categories include: oatmeal, chocolate chip, peanut butter and any other cookie.

The theme for the annual National 4-H Week Poster Decorating Contest is "4-H Focus on Fitness!" All posters are due at the Iberville Parish 4-H Office on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 by 4:30 p.m. Please use regular size white poster board for your entry. Include your name, age, grade, parish and school on back of poster. Please call the 4-H office at 225-687-5155 for more details.
