2010 Iberia/St. Mary Soybean Variety Demo

2010 Iberia. St. Mary Soybean Field Plot
The 2010 Iberia/St. Mary Soybean Plot was planted at Ronald Hebert Jr.'s farm on April 28, 2010, near Jeanerett,e Louisiana. The soybeans were group III and group IV.  Once again this year yields were good especially given our growing conditions here in South Louisiana. Twenty-Eight varieties were planted. The soil type was Jeanerette Silt Loam ranging to a Patout series. The depth of planting was 1-1/2 inches deep. Seed rate was eight to 10 seeds per foot.  The plant population was seven to eight plants per foot.  Please see below for complete results.

Thanks to Ronald Hebert Jr. Farms and Patch Farms for cooperating with the LSU AgCenter and assisting with this educational program.
