Journey Into Jobs will be held Dec. 9, 2010 at Sugarland Elementary in New Iberia, La. This is an annual event in which 4-H'ers interview people representing various jobs/careers, as well as being interviewed by judges.
Areas will be set up with individuals representing various jobs/careers. The 4-H members/contestants will visit with these people to answer a questionnaire they will receive at registration. The questionnaire needs to be completed and returned to contest officials.

6:20 p.m. Announcements
6:30 p.m. Judging begins
Categories:
Grade 4-6 contestants will be interviewed and asked questions. Grade 7-12 contestants will be interviewed and asked questions related to a present or future career or job. Contestants will fill out a job application, which will be used to break ties. All contestants are expected to dress nicely and neatly to best present themselves to the judges. Categories are listed below:
- Grade 4 Boys
- Grade 4 Girls
- Grade 5 Boys
- Grade 5 Girls
- Grade 6 Boys
- Grade 6 Girls
- Grade 7-8 Girls and Boys (will compete against each other.)
- Grade 9-12 Girls and Boys (will compete against each other.)
