Iberia Parish 4-H Clover Chatter newsletters provide information to parish 4-H members and contain activities, events and deadlines occurring monthly. This is the February 2010 Edition.

The 2010 Challenge Camp will be held on March 5th-7th at 4-H Camp Grant Walker. This year's theme is What Can green Do For You? This camp is open to 4-H members in the 7th grade. See brochure for information and details on this exciting camp experience.

The Iberia 6 Easy Bites Club is designed to increase awareness of healthy eating habits and increased levels of physical activity. The club educates the youth on healthy cooking and eating habits and shows them fun and interactive ways to increase daily physical activity.

The sewing and fabric market is steadily declining as more women go to work outside the home and home sewing declines. Fewer and fewer youth are learning how to sew. The Iberia 4-H Fashion Club is designed to educate youth on the basics of sewing and how to exhibit fashion modestly. We hope that all youth who participate can express themselves artistically through fashion.

The United States is falling dangerously behind other nations in developing its future workforce of scientists, engineers, and technology experts. To ensure global competitiveness, we must act now to prepare the next generation of science, engineering and technology leaders. The Iberia SET Club is designed to educate youth on the basics of science, engineering and technology (SET). We hope that all youth who participate can express themselves through SET.

Journey Into Jobs was held December 3 at Sugarland Elementary. This is an annual event where 4-H'ers interview people representing various jobs/careers, as well as being interviewed by judges. The fourth- through sixth-grade contestants were interviewed and asked general questions. The seventh- through 12th-grade contestants were interviewed and asked questions related to a present or future career or job. All results for this contest are listed here.

The annual Iberia 4-H livestock show will be held Friday & Saturday, January 22 & 23 at SugArena in New Iberia. The schedule of events is as follows:
