Twenty Six Franklin Parish youth and adults attended 4-H Day at the Capital on June 5th in Baton Rouge.
4-Hers from all across Louisiana toured the state capital building, attended committee meetings and met with their legislators. Franklin Parish 4-Hers met and visited with our senator, Neil Riser. 4-H Day at The Capital is an annual event held at the state capital and is sponsored by the LSU AgCenter.
4-Hers representing Franklin Parish included: Haley Matthews, Trevor Matthews, Shelby Tibbit, Makenzie McCaskill, Taylor Gill, Shaun Shaikh, Allie Blackman, Mallarie Lowe, Zane Dear, Amber Boone, Savannah Cader, Skylor Roberts, Julie Haygood, Jessie Baltikowski, Joshua Bruce, Christopher Henry, Layton Curtis, Darron J. Mikell, and Kabria Morgan.
Chaperones attending included 4-H Agent Laura Bradley, Michael Tibbit, Ruth Washington, Verna Blackman, Holly Lowe, and Jenny Williams. Also attending the trip were Brittney Adams and Hannah Boone.
