Evangeline 4-H Style Show

    The 2008 Evangeline 4-H “Sew-With-Cotton” and “Spring Clothing” Style Show and Awards Ceremony sponsored by the Evangeline Parish Volunteers for Family and Community, Ville Platte Super Wal Mart Center, and the Evangeline Parish Cooperative Extension Service will be held at the Ville Platte Super Center Wal Mart on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 6:00 P.M.  Eighteen 4-H members from around the parish are participating in the “Sew-With-Cotton” Contest and three 4-H members are competing in the Spring Clothing contest.  These 4-H’ers will be modeling the garments they have made for this contest.
    Participating in the SPRING CLOTHING CONTEST in the 4th - 6th grade Bottoms Only Category will be Ardhyn Parks, Sacred Heart Elementary 6th, and Elizabeth Ortego, Basile Middle 6th.  In the 7th - 8th Grade Complete Outfit category is Victoria Fontenot, Basile Middle 8th grade. 
    
4-H’ers participating in the SEW-WITH-COTTON CONTEST in the 4th - 6th grade Apron category is Lynee West, Pine Prairie Elementary 4th; Emily Vidrine, Sacred Heart Elementary 5th; Torian Veillon, Sacred Heart Elementary 5th; Lauren Soileau, Vidrine Elementary 4th, Emily Claire Soileau, Sacred Heart Elementary 6th; Emily Oliver, Sacred Heart Elementary 6th; Roslyn Mass, Vidrine Elementary 5th; Kasey Lafleur, Vidrine Elementary 5th; Sophie Gil, Sacred Heart Elementary 4th; Mary Margaret Gil, Sacred Heart Elementary 4th; Baylee Guillory, Sacred Heart Elementary 4th; Kourtnie Deshotel, Vidrine Elementary 4th; and Ashley Ardoin, Pine Prairie Elementary 4th.
    4-H members completing “Bottoms Only” garments from the 4th - 6th grade 4-H clubs are Savannah Watts, Sacred Heart Elementary 6th, Baylee Lafleur, Vidrine Elementary 5th, Rebecca Hollier, Sacred Heart Elementary 5th, and Layna Fontenot, Basile Middle 5th
    
In the Senior Division a Complete Outfit must be constructed. Participating is Allison Comeaux, Sacred Heart High 10th
    The announcement of winners and presentation of awards will be given by Mrs. Lynn Landreneau, Evangeline Parish V F.C.. Council President following the style show.  The public is invited to attend this special 4-H style show and view the wonderful clothing project work done by these 4-H’ers.
