4-H is a club...a really big club! The 4-H club is the largest youth organization in the United States! Louisiana has over 85,000 4-H members in more than 1,700 clubs. There are 731 4-H members in East Carroll Parish participating in 13 different clubs that are organized in all the schools.

Vegetable Gardening in Louisiana
A statewide survey of more than 500 home vegetable gardeners during the summer of 2008 returned a 42 percent response. Clients randomly selected from LSU AgCenter/Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service mailing lists and Hort Hints readers were polled.
