The attached nutrition and health news releases are provided by Connie Aclin, Expanded Food and Nutrition Educational Program (EFNEP) Coordinator for DeSoto Parish.

EFNEP is a nutrition education program that can enhance the quality of your family's health. The following is a list of things you can learn by participating in the EFNEP program:

  • How to make your food money last all month
  • How to plan your meals and shop
  • Which foods are the healthiest to feed your family, especially children
  • Healthy recipes for eating light
  • About reducing calories and fat
  • More about foods and nutrition
