The Bayou Pierre Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) has renewed its support the 4-H program in DeSoto Parish. On Dec. 4, 2008, the Bayou Pierre Chapter presented the DeSoto Parish 4-H program with a $350 check to help establish a DeSoto 4-H Shooting Sports Team. This chapter has been a loyal supporter of DeSoto 4-H and is greatly appreciated.
The DeSoto Parish NWTF Banquet will be held March 6 at the David Means 4-H Building in Grand Cane. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Please contact Mindy Kile at (318) 613-5865 for tickets. You might win one of the 40 guns to be given away. The banquet is the Bayou Pierre Chapter's major fund raiser and is the means by which they support local programs such as DeSoto 4-H.
