Fashion, Food and Fitness Club
Members of the 4-H Fashion, Food and Fitness Club took a field trip to the Miss-Lou Maze Craze in Vidalia and the 4-H Birthday Bash held at Camp Grant Walker on Saturday, October 27. At the corn maze 4-H'ers participated in maze activities and shot the corn cannon. After leaving the corn maze, 4-H'ers, leaders and parents traveled to Camp Grant Walker where the group, along with other many other 4-H'ers, 4-H alumni and families celebrated 4-H Camp's 85th birthday with food, birthday cake and a variety of fun activities.

Members of the Fashion, Food and Fitness Club distributed fruit baskets to members of the Caldwell Parish School Board and Superintendent John Sartin in appreciation of their support of the Caldwell 4-H program.

Junior Leader Club
Four members of the Caldwell Parish Junior Leader Club participated in an E-bay workshop hosted by the LSU AgCenter and the Delta Rural Development Center. Lacey Barnette, Jade Pilcher, Dorrian Gagne and Maranda Weems learned entrepreneur skills by actually going through the process of putting an item on E-bay to sell and ship to its buyer.

Dairy Billboard Contest
The Dairy Billboard entries are due Friday, January 25. These may be submitted to the 4-H office or the 4-H leader at your school. For this contest, you are required to design a poster that promotes the dairy industry. Guidelines for the contest may be obtained from the 4-H website, 4-H office or the 4-H leader at your school. First place posters from each division will be sent to Baton Rouge to compete in the State Draw a Dairy Billboard contest.

4-H t-shirts
Thanks to all who sold and purchased 4-H t-shirts. We sold over 100 shirts as a result of your efforts.

4-H at Ag Expo
Be sure to visit the 4-H mini-farm and 4-H booth at the Ag Expo held at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center on Janaury 18th and 19th.

Character Corner
This month's pillar of character is TRUSTWORTHINESS.
Be honest.
Don't deceive, cheat or steal.
Be reliable - do what you say you will do.
Have the courage to do the right thing.
Build a good reputation.
Be loyal - stand by your family, friends and country.

Leadership
Clubs and organizations are made up of different people. To get things done, each person must do his or her part. A leader cannot do everything, so the leaders need to get others to help them. The process of empowering others in an organization to act with authority is called DELEGATION. It is an important task for leaders.
