March is National Nutrition Month, which is sponsored annually by the American Dietetic Association. The theme for March 2011 is “Eat Right With Color”. To eat right with color, begin with fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables come in terrific colors – red, purple, orange, green, and white – but their real beauty lies in what’s inside.

In 2011, Steve Young of Ringgold, La. and Beinville Parish's fourth honoree, will be recognized as a new honoree in the Louisiana 4-H Hall of Fame. His photo and biographical sketch will be added to the Hall of Fame special exhibit area in the Louisiana 4-H Museum.

12 new members will be inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame in Mansura, LA on Autust 14.

Highlights of the January-June 2010 semester

Information about classes to help one through the process of buying a home. The classes will be offered in Arcadia, La. each month from August 2011 through June 2012.

Eleven teachers in Bienville Parish took advantage of the opportunity to participate in the High School Financial Planning Program Teacher In-Service, taught by Diane Uzzle, Financial Resource Management Agent , LSU AgCenter.
