4-H U 2009
Avoyelles 4-H'ers had a great time competing in the state contests at 4-H University in Baton Rouge this summer. Approximately 25 contestants from Avoyelles were present, and rougly 15 placed. Of those, two were state winners and the remainder were blue ribbon winners.

Approximately 80 Avoyelles youth travelled to 4-H Camp Grant Walker to spend a week June 20-25, 2009. The week was filled with fun, games, excitement, a little homesickness and lots of memories which will last a lifetime.
