Child Care Provider Classes

Classes for child-care providers and child-care centers are posted quarterly. For Class A and in-home caregivers, the price is $7.50; for Class B providers, the price is $42.50. The orientation class is mandatory for in-home caregivers, and the price is $10 for that 4-hour class.

‘Smart Bodies’ Program Spreading Across Louisiana

Children across Louisiana will learn to be smart about their bodies again this year as a unique nutrition, health and fitness educational program comes to schools across the state. "Smart Bodies" is an interactive program designed to help prevent childhood obesity through classroom activities that teach children about healthy eating habits and physical exercise.
