2008 Commodity Cookery
The Avoyelles Cookery Contest produced winning dishes and smiling kids.
From Sweet Potato Cheesecake to Beef Eggrolls the dishes were varied and plentiful for the judges to select from.
Louisiana commodities will be well represented by Avoyelles parish at the district show as 4-H'ers compete against others at the Alexandria Mall.
If you would like copies of the District Winning recipes please contact this office during April 2009 to purchase a set on a CD. | | Grand Champion winners were asked to explain how they prepared their dish or to share something special about their dish. |
| | Here is a photo of the grand champion dishes at the parish show. These dishes will compete at the district show in the spring. |
| | 4-H'ers will be expected to prepare, set up, and take down their dishes at the district show. This was great practice for them. |
