The Thirty-Eighth Annual Assumption Parish Field Day was held on Tuesday, July 24, 2007. The field program was held at Arcement Farms and the hall program was presented at the Assumption Parish LSU AgCenter Office in Napoleonville. The program was sponsored by the Assumption and Ascension Parishes Farm Bureau and the LSU AgCenter. Presiding over the program were Gerald Boudreaux, Assumption Parish Field Day Chairman and farmer, and Rick Louque, Assumption Parish County Agent.
Rick Louque presented awards to the following Top Ten Assumption Parish sugarcane producers to:
- Tenth Place – Danny Richard and Patrick Richard of Patrick Richard Farms, Inc.
- Ninth Place – Raymond Rousseau and J. C. Landry of Landry Farms
- Eighth Place – Mark Bergeron and Don Bergeron to D and D Planters, Inc.
- Seventh Place – Kenneth Thibodeaux of Kenneth Thibodeaux Farm, Inc.
- Sixth place – Ronald Woods and Eugene Woods of Woods Farms, Inc.
- Fifth Place – Gary Gravois of Trinity Farms, Inc.
- Fourth Place – Gary Thibodeaux of Thibodeaux Brothers, Inc.
- Third Place – SJM Farms, Inc.
- Second Place – J. C. Landry, Ricky Landry and Raymond Rousseau of Glenwood Plantation LLC.
- First Place – Gene Blanchard and Dave Blanchard of Blanchard Farms, Inc.
