Family Nutrition Program (FNP)

Food Stamp Nutrition Education Goal -- to improve the likelihood that FNP participants (adult and youth) will adopt healthy food choices within a limited budget and incorporate active lifestyles and habits that promote good health.

FNP Program Objectives

1.  Eat fruits and vegetables, whole grains and nonfat or low-fat milk or milk products every day.
2.  Be physically active every day as part of a healthy lifestyle.
3.  Balance calorie intake from foods and beverages with calories expended.

Family Nutrition Program (FNP) is a federally funded program that provides nutrition education to low income families.

FNP collaborates with local agencies to meet the needs of families with limited resources. It provides education to help families improve their health and use their resources more wisely.
