The Louisiana 4-H Youth Development program will be viewed in communities statewide as an invaluable and essential source of non-formal education. Salaried and volunteer staff will be recognized for their expertise in creating dynamic and interactive learning experiences.

The Assumption Parish 4-H Clover Chatter provides 4-H'ers and parents with information on upcoming events, contest rules, contest results, and fun facts.

The site at www.4-Hclubhouse.com is tailored to fourth- through sixth-graders and features nearly a hundred games, quizzes, downloadable activities and videos. This new site is part of an overall effort to reach out to broader audiences through 4-H.

Assumption Parish 4-H Cookbooks are compiled from category winners of the sugar, seafood, ground beef, chicken and egg cooking events held throughout the school year.

The Assumption Parish 4-H Jr. Leaders attended Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida as an reward for all of their hard work throughout the year.

Cody Hood won the state 4-H office of Secretary/Treasurer at 4-H University in June.

Thirty-four Assumption Parish 4-H'ers attended 4-H University on the LSU Campus, June 17 through 20, 2008. Congratulations to all 4-H'ers that competed at this event!

The Assumption Parish 4-H 2007-08 Cookbook is compiled of recipes taken from the Sugar and Seafood Cookery, Egg and Ground Beef Cookery, and the Poultry Cookery. The recipes are from the winners of each division in each category.

On January 3, 2008, the Assumption Parish 4-H held a lock-in for 4th through 7th graders. The lock-in focused on the theme of the 4-H Centennial. The students enjoyed food, games, crafts and a talent search. It was a fun time for all.

Scholarship applications for senior 4-H'ers are due at the Assumption Parish 4-H office by March 10, 2008.
