The winners of the 2011 Ascension 4-H Youth and Adult Garden Contest along with contest awards sponsors and master gardeners who judged this contest.

Joy Semien and Elaina Vercher, outstanding 4-H’ers and graduating seniors were recognized at Ascension 4-H Achievement Day at Dutchtown High on May 4, 2011.

The Ascension Parish 4-H year concluded with Achievement Day held at Dutchtown High on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. In the spirit of part of the 4-H pledge “My hands to larger service, “ a penny wars competition was held during Achievement Day to benefit the tornado victims of Alabama.

Young and talented Ascension Parish 4-H’ers preformed at a “Hands 4 Success” talent show on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at the Lamar Dixon Expo Denter.

This system gives 4-H volunteers resources for training and tracking their hours. Volunteers can enter volunteer hours, impact stories, mileage and expenses. The system has online training modules, helpful guides and links to volunteer resources.
