Academic Information

The school provides a solid foundation and prepares students for successful professional careers in the study of sciences related to agronomy, horticulture and environmental management. The need for agricultural research never stops. It continues to grow. Through research the school enhances, develops and delivers expertise that anticipates and responds to society's changing needs. The extension system helps identify and address current issues and problems. Extension is the primary outreach method of the LSU AgCenter with an extensive statewide presence reactive to needs of the people.

Our faculty seeks to educate and prepare students for successful professional careers and to assume social responsibilities that promote harmonious diversity for the benefit of humanity.
