Entomology Department Video
(Video) The LSU AgCenter’s entomology department works to keep agriculture in Louisiana viable, homes relatively pest-free, and people and animals safe from disease-carrying insects. Louisiana’s agricultural community relies on AgCenter entomologists to help manage a host of insects that could cause severe damage to crops. Urban entomologists focus on keeping people and homes safe from mosquitoes and termites. Other researchers work to maintain the populations of insects that provide important ecological services such as pollination.
