The CAMECO® scholarship was established in 1975 by CAMECO® Industries, Inc. (A John Deere Company) in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The scholarship is given by CAMECO® to a student specializing in machine design in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department.
Selection is based on GPA, participation in departmental activities such as recruitment, planning social functions for faculty/students, participation (attending meetings regularly) in student club or student group activities; exhibiting leadership locally in student clubs or student groups; attending professional activities at the state, regional, and/or national levels; and exhibiting leadership at the state, regional, and/or national levels.
