CRIS Projects

Dr. Luis Bento conducts studies in the removal of color in sugar processing
Retired faculty member Dr. Luis Bento joined Audubon in 2003. His first approved CRIS project is to investigate the purification of syrups to produce refined sugar at the mill.

Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station research is conducted through approved projects that meet specific criteria. Each major project is assigned a CRIS (Current Research Information System) number that is used to track the progress of the research and to report the project status to the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station and USDA. Each faculty member at Audubon is a principal investigator or Co-PI in at least one LAES-approved project.
