Monday, March 5 – 4-H Beef Cookery, 6 PM, Amite Elementary

Friday, March 9 –
Finish Spring Garden Day set up, 9 a.m - 4 p.m. Bring small tables, lawn chairs, home-made foods, and your lunch.



SATURDAY, MARCH 10 – SPRING GARDEN DAY
– Hammond Research Station. Please arrive at 7:30 a.m. Open to public 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Place everything in the storage shed after closing.



April 12 meeting
will be at Amite Extension office                                                  


2007 DUES – Check list in Annie’s Items number 20.

MINUTES OF THE MASTER GARDENER MEETING FEBRUARY 8, 2007

Tim Patrick opened the meeting. The minutes of the January meeting were accepted by Frank Taulli and seconded by Jarold Smith.

The Treasurer's report was given by Carmel Foret and accepted.

2007 BUDGET
The budget for 2007 was discussed. The $300 for meetings refreshments was questioned because members bring food. Annie Coco explained it was for LSU AgCenter meetings, especially horticulture advisory council, that 25 people attend. George Will and Jarold Smith motioned and seconded, respectively, for the budget to be accepted. The motion passed.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY wants the Master Gardener to do Ponchatoula. A high school wants to help, so Saturday plantings would be best.

4H DEMONSTRATIONS are going fine according to Tim Patrick and Larry Duplantis.

SPRING GARDEN DAY
Annie Coco verified the committees. Setup will be after the March meeting.

MG SHIRTS
Mona Middlebrook reported she could not reach the people that silkscreened the master gardeners' shirts. John Grimm will try to get a new source.

FOOD BANK needs food. Bring food to the next meeting.

CAMELLIA STROLL will be Sunday. Clean up will be after the meeting adjourns. If it rains tents will need to be set up.

LMG 2007 STATE CONFERENCE will be October 10-12. Tim Patrick motioned to change the October meeting to October 4th. Motion passed.
