All tours begin after the Conference Wrap-up, and each includes a light lunch.

Tour 1: Creole Nature Trail Exploration

Visit the Creole Nature Trail All American Road to Cameron, La. Let us take you on a bus ride revealing the unsurpassed splendor of Louisiana's renowned coastal wetlands, wildlife refuges and marshes. Enjoy a boxed lunch while watching the wildlife that calls the Creole Nature Trail their home. Registration fee $30. This is approximately a 3-hour tour and is limited to 30 registrants. 


Tour 2: Tour of Local Gardens

Visit and tour with Dr. Alan Armitage some of the beautiful gardens located in Margaret Place, the oldest recorded subdivision in Calcasieu Parish, celebrating its centennial in 2012. Enjoy a box lunch in one of these beautiful homes after listening to Dr. Armitage describe the flowers and other vegetation growing in some of the gardens in the beautiful and historic neighborhood. Registration fee $30. Time: 3 hours. Tour limited to 30.

Tour 3: Tea Room Lunch

After a busy three days at the state conference, relax over high tea at Noblese Oblige Tea house, located in historic downtown Lake Charles, across from the Courthouse and Old City Hall. There will be several types of tea served in addition to cucumber sandwiches, tea cakes and other delectable foods. Registration fee is $30. Time: 2.5 hours. Tour limited to 30.
