Ornamental Banana Trials
Because the popularity of gardening with tropical plants has grown in the southeastern U.S., there has been a considerable increase in production and sales of palms, ferns, tropical fruit, and tropical perennials over the past five years. The objective of this project is to evaluate garden performance of a diverse collection of ornamental bananas. Information from this project would be a major benefit to the ornamental plant production industry and address the home consumer market for tropicals.
