EatSmart Lesson 14 - Smart Food Shopping

Is your family on a food budget? Do you know how much money you spent on groceries last month? Do you plan weekly menus? Are you an impulse shopper? How often do you eat out at restaurants?

These are things you need to think about if you're serious about managing your food dollars. Food takes about 11.5% of our monthly income. In this lesson, you will learn how to use your food resources such as money, food stamps or WIC coupons to feed your family healthfully. To do this, you will learn the importance of planning food purchases and smart shopping techniques to s-t-r-e-t-c-h food dollars.
