LaHouse Resource Center is now a new Gulf Region Healthy Homes Training Center partner of the National Healthy Homes Training Center and Network. This partnership brings together public health and housing practitioners to promote practical and cost-effective methods for making homes healthier.
The seminars offered in this region include:
- Essentials for Healthy Home Practicioners -- Two-day course for health and housing professionals. Held Oct. 30-31 in Baton Rouge. Future dates and locations TBA.
- Healthy Home Improvements for southern region homes -- 1/2-day seminar for contractors (CEU eligible), housing rehab specialists and do-it-yourselfers. Future dates and locations TBA.
- Lead-safe Work Practices -- 1 day course for home remodeling and rehab contractors and workers (CEU eligible). Coming soon to Baton Rouge, New Orleans and New Iberia; dates TBA.
